Just a few more pictures!

I finally downloaded my pictures from 4th of July week-end to now. Here are a few from our crawfish boil and then a few of Molly and Joey playing in the crawfish pot and eating their first snowballs. They LOVE snowballs...but Joey had a tummy ache that night...so we won't be getting too many more of those.

And I just uploaded them all backwards...and not going to fix it. So the pictures are snowballs, then crawfish pot, then crawfish boil. ;-)

Here they are waiting for me to put them in their swings. I guess they got tired of standing, so they laid down under them. Silly kids!

Summer Time!!

It sure has been along time since I've posted anything! Sorry about that...hopefully I will do a better job from now on.

A few things have changed since my last post. One thing: I got a job working at the clinic while MoJo are at daycare. So I still have every Friday thru Sunday with my babies, just three days a week for only a few hours each day to clear my mind and be around other adults. Next thing: We bought a fishing boat. And LOVING IT! Well sort of! Billy does take it out a lot (on either Saturday or Sunday and he's entered every fishing tournament), which means more alone time with me the kiddos. Which usually results in me losing my mind at some point. Going crazy. Calling Billy to get home as soon as possible and then a few beers later...I'm good to go!

If I can figure out how to down size my pictures on this computer then I'll add a few from the past few months. Molly and Joey are growing up so fast! I sure wish time would slow down just a bit...especially since we are done having babies. We only get to experience everything once!

Easter at Sarah and Jud's

Easter in Austin with the Freeman's

Here we are with the Crane's in our new boat! :)

Here we are at Conner Savino's birthday party. Taking a little ride on the train. :) Good Times!

Joey and Billy's legs at Kinsey's birthday party. Billy was a clown. Most adults didn't dress up...but you can always count on one adult dressing up for a kids costume party. Usually it is either Billy or Sarah. hahaha

Grandma and Molly

Wearing a bucket and laundry basket on their heads...anything to entertain them. :)

Kids riding on the trencher with their Daddy.

Kids playing in the trench.

Molly wearing Joey's sunglasses

Molly was cracking up at Joey every time he went down the slide.

Swimming in their first new swimming pool of the summer.

Taking a break, eating some fruit snacks and drinking some juice!!

Ooops...guess I should have made them take a nap earlier. Fell asleep while eating dinner. :(

Molly running after getting off the slip n slide.

The picture didn't turn out too good because the camera was inside and when I brought it out...the lense fogged up and I forgot to clean it off before snapping a few pictures. Cullen and Joey had a great time playing on the slip n slide together.

They are eating their first Oreo's and LOVED them! A little messy...but very delicious.

Toddler Beds

I have decided to change Molly and Joey's cribs into toddler beds. Lately I have noticed that when they are ready for bed they go into their room and try to crawl up their cribs to get in it. I knew this wasn't going to be easy but I thought I would give it a try. I love SuperNanny. I watch it all the time and try to use some of her techniques. So last night I used her bed time technique...and OMG...it worked! It took about an hour of Billy and I sitting at the foot of each their beds and putting them back in it every time they would get up. But they finally gave up and fell asleep. We were so excited and so proud of ourselves and our little babies. They fell asleep around 8:30 and between that time and the time I went to sleep, Joey fell out of his bed twice. He barely made a fuss when it would happen. I just went and put him back in bed and the rest of the night was great!
And I just put them down for their morning nap and it was a little more difficult without Billy here to help...but they are both sound asleep and it only took about 25 min. YAY!!!! Hopefully after a few nights and naps like this we won't have to sit and wait for them to fall asleep.

"Trying" To Take A Nice Stroll With The Kids

So this past Monday I was playing outside with the kids and they kept trying to climb into their stroller. So I thought, okay, they want to go for a walk. I loaded them up and started to walk down the driveway to our mailbox. About halfway there, they both started crying and fighting to get out of the stroller. I decided to go ahead and go all the way since I hadn't checked the mail in a while. On the way back they were still trying to get out, so once I got to the turn that heads towards our house, I let them out...thinking they were just going to walk back with me. We had done this once before and it went really good. This time, it did not!! I let Molly out first, and as soon as I put her down she threw herself on the ground and started crying. I let her do that while I got Joey out. Once he was on the ground I picked up Molly and tried to put her back in the stroller thinking maybe she wanted back in since she got so upset when I took her out. But she got even more mad when I tried putting her back in the stroller. While I was trying to strap her in, Joey took off running fast towards 961. The wind on the prairie this day was REALLY blowing. Finally I got Molly in the stroller and started running after Joey. I knew I should have put the brakes to stroller on right after I took off running after Joey. I looked back immediately and the stroller was somehow still sitting in place. But once I got Joey and started to walk back to Molly the wind had picked up and the stroller started going the opposite direction. As I started to pick up speed to get back to it...so did the stroller. It was going really fast, I was thinking "Holy Crap, How am I going to catch it!!!" I took off running as fast as I could to grab the stroller, while carrying Joey. Right as I got closer the stroller it took a turn and went down the ditch...but I was able to grab the side of it before it flipped. OMG!!! I can't believe that just happened!! Lesson Learned!!! Do Not Let The Babies Out Of Stroller Until We Are Back In Front Of The House!!! Hopefully nobody saw that whole thing go down...but if you did...you owe me money for the good show we put on!! Hahaha!!

Day Care For The Twins

Molly and Joey have started going to daycare. Yay!! They only go Tues., Wed. and Thurs. from 8:30 to 2:00...that is all the time I need to get stuff done around the house and errands taken care of. The first week was okay. Joey absolutely loved it. You would think he had been going there forever. Molly on the other hand...cries! The first day she was there she sat in a crib the whole time...it was the only place she was content. But the next two days she played and ate really well. BUT after just three days of being there, they were both sick. Two weeks later they are well and so am I. After just getting over a really sore throat (maybe strep) and two ear infections...I finally felt like getting out of the house today. Billy and I loaded up the kids in the wagon and cut across the field to The Braden's house. Played there for a little while then came home to play outside. Here are a few pictures of us playing today!

Something to write just for me to remember later on

So on December 15th I finally went to see my OBGYN since having the babies. Probably should have gone a little sooner...but just couldn't find the time. So a year and 2 months later I finally went. During the doctors visit...I was completely shocked to hear what my doctor had to say during the examination. She informed me that one of the two cerclages was still in my cervix. WHAT?? You have got to be kidding me. I have been calling in with an issue I was having for the past year and never did I think that was going to be the problem. So thinking back to when I went to the hospital to have to babies...this could be the reason I laid up in the hospital for a week and a half after Joey's sac broke waiting to dilate. I was unable to dilate because my cervix was still stitched closed. All the times that a nurse or doctor would check me to see if I was dilating, how in the world did not ONE person see this bright blue string inside me? CRAZY!! Which brings me to the next thing. Thank God that Billy and I were not planning on having more babies...because when my cervix finally did dilate...it tore my cervix a little. Which means the next time it would be a little more difficult to stitch it closed.

On a more positive note: This is why there isn't going to be a next time. Billy and I had decided very shortly after finally having our 2 little bundles of joy that we had prayed for, for so long, that we were done with that part of our lives. We never wanted to see another infertility doctor again and I never wanted another spinal again. So this past December, Billy had a Vasectomy and we are going to stay a family of 4. Yay!! Life is Good!
