Our Babies At 9 Weeks And 2 Days

Ultrasound Pictures From May 13, 2009

This is baby on the right. This is the one that is always so active in the ultrasounds. He/she likes to be the center of attention. Obviously this one takes after it's daddy.

This is baby on the left. This one is usually hard to see and doesn't move too much for us. But we can always see his/her heartbeat!

My Family

I had to laugh today. Tracy called me this morning and said she knows she jumping the gun a little bit...but her and mom have picked a date for my baby shower. :) Although it may be early...she does have a good point as to why we should have one around 25 to 28 weeks of my pregnancy. Billy really thought we were crazy when I mentioned it to him. But what does he know...right? After Tracy mentioned the shower to me...I was like WOW...it's starting to really sink in that I'm pregnant again. And this time I will actually get to have a baby shower and do all the normal things that people get to do when expecting. Pretty awesome!

So now I'm just watching TV (Police Academy) and waiting for dinner. I invited myself to Sarah and Jud's for dinner tonight. Apparently mom made them chicken spaghetti and I couldn't help myself after dad told me. So I called Sarah immediately to asked her when it would be ready and it there was enough for me. She said of course there was. :) Luckily for Billy...he went fishing today...caught him a nice big red fish and a couple trout. So he's eating that and I'm eating at The Severson's.

It's A GIRL!

Well I am proud to say that I have a new niece. Kylie Cameron Severson, 7 lbs, 1 ozs, 21.25 in. long. Other then having brown hair she looks a lot like Kinsey did when she was a baby. Oh my goodness, I can not believe that I now have 12 nieces and nephews. 6 on the Wendel side (3 girls and 3 boys)and 6 on the Freeman side(3 girls and 3 boys). How crazy is that? And finally I have my own little people on the way as well!

My appointment went really good yesterday, other then my husband not making it. I met with the nurse practitioner, Kelly Leake, RNP, that will be there for us during the rest of my pregnancy...she was super nice, loved her paersonality. I also met with a lot of other people that I won't talk about. I got to watch some very boring videos and then I got to do another ultrasound. The baby on the right is always so active, almost looked liked he/she was doing the mashed potato or some kind of dance. The one on the left is really lazy. Not much movement out of him/her and always hiding behind the other one. Both heartbeats looked really good...so that was great to see! I asked Kelly, the RNP, about the cerclage and she said that my doctors want to do it at 13 weeks instead of 14 weeks. So sometime around June 8th is when that will take place. Next Monday, June 1st I will meet with my two doctors, Dr. Johnson and Dr. Moise both Maternal Fetal Medicine doctors, (they are opening a TWIN Center in the Baylor Clinic), then I'll meet with Dr. Vyas who will be my OB-GYN and last I will meet with a genetics counselor. I've been told that when I leave my next appointment I will be very informed about all kinds of different stuff. Looking forward to that appointment and finally meeting my doctors.

Today I'm not feeling very good. Think I'll hang out here all day and watch TV. Now back to the couch! :)

Sarah's Having Her Baby!

When I went to bed last night I knew to expect a call from Sarah or Jud this morning. They were supposed to call the hospital at 5 o'clock a.m. to find out if Sarah could come in today to be induced, and that was the same time they were going to call me to come over and watch the kids. Well... my call came a little early. Jud called me at 3:45 and said that my services were needed. So I came over around 4:00 and Sarah and Jud were off to the hospital. Kinsey and I went to sleep in Sarah and Jud's bed after watching an episode of Go Diego, Go! Mom came over to Sarah's to help get the kids ready for daycare. Jud called at 6:30 and said Sarah was going pretty fast and that we should come to Houston as soon as we get the kids off to school. So now mom and I are just waiting for Kinsey to wake up and then we are heading that way. I am pretty excited... FINALLY... we will know what it is that we have been waiting so long to here. Will I have a new niece or nephew today... that is the question!

I have an appointment in Houston tomorrow with a Nurse Practitioner... not really sure what for... but I guess I will go and find out. After that appointment I will write again and let you know what Sarah had and all those details and I'll let you know how my appointment was.

The Begining

Thought this was a good time to start a blog. Wanted to keep notes on this pregnancy and also give my family and friends an easy way to keep up with us. Hope you all enjoy!
