We had a great day at the doctors office. Wow-Wee are my babies growing! Molly is now 8 lbs. 10 ozs. and Joey is 9 lbs. 12 ozs. They got 3 shots each and only cried for about 5 seconds. I have been so busy lately that I haven't posted in a little over a month...but I have added some pictures from the past few weeks.
All dressed and ready to go to Thanksgiving. This was their first visit to Grandma and Grampy's house to meet all their cousins on the Wendel side then to the ranch to meet the cousins on the Freeman side. It was a busy day for all of us.

Babies Have Arrived
Okay...so the babies have arrived a little early. With this blog...I am going to talk about how the babies came into the world, how terribly wrong everything went with my spinal, how the babies are doing and how I am doing.
The Birth Of The Babies
It all started on the morning of October 29th at around 7:00 am. I noticed that morning when I went to the restroom there was a little more "red stuff" then normal. So called a nurse to come look. After she took a look she said she was going to call a Resident to come check me out. At that point I texted Billy (I would have called him, but my phone didn't work in the hospital room). I told him that he may want to start heading back to the hospital...I was about to be checked out by a Resident and I told him why. This was only the second morning out of the 8 nights we stayed in the hospital that Billy woke up at 3:30 am to go to work. All the other times he stayed all night and all day with me. So at around 7:45 am the Resident showed up to examine me. Right away...she said, "You are in labor! You are already dilated to 5 cm.". What? That can not be...I had not felt one contraction and I was there all alone. Mom and Suzy were on there way or just about to leave...but I knew they weren't planning on leaving EC until around 8:00 am. So they were just leaving town. The nurse was like, "Your husband should make it here in time. How far away do you think he is?" When I told her an hour and a half...she said, "oh yeah...he is going to miss it." At that point I freaked out! I texted Billy right away and said, "You better get here quick. Haul A**. They are getting me ready for a c-section and then taking me to Labor & Delivery!". Luckily the first ultrasound machine they brought in to see what position the babies were in wouldn't work. So that took a little time...to go find a different one. When they finally came back with a working machine they did the ultrasound. Joey was still head down in my cervix as usual...but Molly was sideways. Which was no problem since I was doing a c-section anyways. The doctor that was on-call was in a meeting so until she was done they didn't want to move me to L&D. At around 9:00 they started taking me out of the room and there was Mom and Suzy about to come into my room. Relief...They made it! I wasn't completely alone anymore. So then I went to L&D and they started to get me ready for my spinal. At that time...right when I was about to get the spinal...Billy poked his head in the room. All the nurses were telling him he wasn't allowed in there at that time...but he didn't care. He made sure I knew he was on the other side of the door waiting to come in and help deliver our babies. It was so good to see him and I was able to relax a little more. So I am in position for the spinal and the anesthesiologist tells me I am about to feel a little pinch and then some burning from the medicine. Boy did I feel the medicine. I nearly jumped right off the table. I felt something shoot down my left leg and into my foot. So painful at first but then immediately the numbing started to kick in. No more pain for the next 7 hours. It was amazing. Dr. Timmins said, "Here is Joey!" I heard a smack and then his first cry. A minute later, Dr. Timmins said "And here is Molly!" I heard another smack and then her first cry. It was the best sound in the world. I just started to cry. Then they took them out for a second for the NICU team to check them out. They wrapped them up in blankets and Billy brought them both in for me to look at. I gave both of them kisses, took some pictures and then they were off to the NICU. I got stitched up and then went to recovery for about 2 hours.
Finding Out There Is A Problem
Okay...so here is it 7 hours after delivery. I was up in my room with my family (Mom, Dad, Tracy, Sarah, Joe, Suzy, Shawn and Abby). I was standing up for the first time about to get in a wheel chair to go see the babies in the NICU. I noticed when I sat down that I was starting to get this terrible headache. But I was determined to go see Molly and Joey. Billy was wheeling me down to the NICU and Sarah and Tracy were with us. Sarah noticed my head was hurting pretty bad and mentioned something about me possibly having a spinal headeache...but I thought, no way...this was going to go away. I thought I was just really stressed because of everything that had gone on that morning and me just thinking about my last pregnancy and there was just so much going on in my mind...it would go away after I saw the babies and maybe after a good nights rest. But I went to see the babies and it didn't get better. It just got worse. I got to hold each of them for about 20 minutes and then I had to get back to my bed. By the time I got to my room I could hardly open my eyes. So I took a bunch of pain medicine Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Friday morning around 11:00 an anesthesiologist came in to do a blood patch. That will usually heal a spinal headache. So he did it around 11:00 and around 3:00 that evening I went to see the babies. Got to hold both of them for about an hour each and got to feed Joey. My headache was gone and I thought I was cured. That night I went to sleep feeling great. Saturday morning...I felt okay when I woke up. I took a shower and started to get ready for Amy and Wendy to come and visit the babies. I was brushing my hair when I felt the headache coming back. I tried to ignore it. I was so excited to get to the NICU that morning to show off my cute babies to my friends and so I did ignore it for a little while. By the time I got to the NICU my headache was back in full force! Felt like the blood patch never happened. So I went back to the room right away to get back in bed. Mom and Dad came that morning also to see the babies and to see how I was doing. Billy took them to the NICU while I stayed in bed. I layed in bed all day and then around 6:00 that evening another anesthesiologist came in to do a second blood patch. At that time Joe and Suzy were there to see us and the babies. The anesthesiologist told me the statistics of the amount of women needing these after a spinal and how rare I was to even need a first one and then to need a second one. I guess I'm special. So anyways...I do the second one in the evening. This time I decided to stay laying down even longer. I thought maybe I didn't stay laying down long enough with the first one...so this one I decided to not go see the babies that night...wait and go in the morning when this headache is gone. Well...I woke up Sunday morning and the headache was back. So on Sunday I saw my first neuro-surgeon. He suggested me do a CT scan and a MRI. The CT showed that I had some blood on the right side of my brian. So that means that during the spinal the fluid dripping caused a dura hematoma. Crazy! So once they figured out what was really going on they put me on the correct pain meds and then released me on Tuesday.
I will update more later...tired of typing!

33 Weeks and 1 Day
First I just have to say how proud I am of Billy for coming on here and getting everyone updated for me. I can't believe he was able to figure it out and do it...and yes...it's like you have all said...he types just like he talks.
So here it is my 6th day in the hospital...still pregnant, Thank God! Joey is doing great even though his sac broke. He is continuously creating more fluid and his heart rate is strong. Molly is just hanging out...doing good with a strong heart rate as well. I can feel her growing stronger and bigger everyday. Joey is still way down low with his head on my cervix. Don't feel him as much anymore , I guess because he doesn't have the water to move around as easily...but Molly has been very busy exploring all the new room she has.
For the first few days I was having all kinds of contractions. But ever since yesterday afternoon things have definitely slowed down. Last night was probably the best night yet...no contractions and the nurses took off all the monitors and let me have a good nights rest. In fact it's gotten so boring around here Billy woke up early this morning and went to work for a little while. He is also going out to our land to get things going. Our windows are in and so is all the material to get the framing started. Hopefully the framing will start tomorrow! My doctor came to talk to me today and said that everything is looking so good. She is going to find out what day Dr. Ivey (another doctor within her group) is on-call. She wants to do the c-section on either Monday or Tuesday so which ever day Dr. Ivey is on-call is the day we'll finally get to meet our new bundles of joy! So...by this time next week...they will have arrived! YIPPEE!!! So exciting. Everyone keeps telling me to enjoy this time and just rest...but that is almost impossible. Not only because I have been resting for the past 3 years after my last pregnancy didn't end good...but now I'm in a hospital room with a million RN's, PCA's, MFM's, and of course Dr.'s that come every 20 mins. to bother me and on top of all that I have Molly putting her feet in my ribs and getting them stuck there. At this point I am done resting...now I just want to meet my babies!
I want to Thank everyone for all your thoughts and prayers! We could not have made it this far without all of your support. Thank you for all the shout outs on Facebook and all the wonderful advice on how to get through this very stressful time. I guess the next time you all will hear from me will be after the twins are here and I'll make sure to post lots of pictures! :)
Thanks Again,
Love Billy and Christy

32 weeks and 2 days " the water breaks"
This is Billy posting this blog, per Christy, she is resting. It was Wednesday, bunko night. I was thawing out a ribeye, & went out to cresent to show Blake P. The progress on the Barndominnium. When on the way back the wife calls to tell me she thinks her h2o broke. I assumed it was pee & instructed her to call her doc. Well, I'm back @ the hse. In 5 min. To my dis-belief Wendy Crane is parked in my spot!!!! Just kidding! Thank God! Wendy, Amy, and Tracy we're there. They we're life savers, I was lucky to have such well seasoned pros there. I wasn't prepaired for this, this early. Christy pretty much was, she was packed, I wasn't. For some reason she packed herself @ 30 wks., must of figured I'd just be naked. I really pretty much stay packed. So we loaded the rig and warped into st. Lukes, Hou. Joey's sack broke @ 8pm 10/21/09. The docs. Gave Molly & Joey some steroids, and Christy some dope to relax her muscles. She was only dialated 1cm., the doc. took her cercloge out around 11:00pm, just in case she goes into labor. In the a. m. We were moved to the Anepartum unit, to try and keep these babies in as long as possible. Tonight @ 9pm the kids get the 2nd steroid injection. This helps speed the growth of the organs. Even if Christy went into labor right now 32 wks. Is a long time for twins. They would be in the nic-u for 2 to 4 weeks, but will be healthy and ready for hunting season! Christy is doing fine, she's a tough Lil soldier. Spirits are high and we can't wait to see Molly & Joey! Joey has had his head pushing on Christy's cervix for months now & Molly is on top taking up all the space in the womb, pushing Joey out of the way. I think they are just excited for deer season!

It Was A Good Day At The Doctors Office
Today was my 31 week visit with the MFM doctors and my OB. First they did an ultrasound on my cervix that measured 1.42". Not great...but that is right where my stitches are and they are holding up. My cervix seems firm and like it will hold strong for the next 5 to 8 weeks. Then they measured the babies. Joey is 4 lbs. and Molly is 2 oz. shy of 4 lbs. So the babies weights are GREAT! We have decided not to measure the cervix anymore, to just leave it alone, since it can't get any shorter due to the cerclage...and the next thing that will happen is I will just go into labor. My MFM doc and OB doc decided that we will take out the cerclage in 5 weeks, Nov. 18th and scheduled a C-Section for 39 weeks. They said if the babies come at 36 weeks...when they remove the cerclage the babies should be big enough that they will get to come home when I get released from the hospital. I asked her to give me the Steroid injections just in case they come early and she told me,"No. No reason to. Everything looks great and they will just see me in 2 weeks." Yippee! So excited. I can't believe it but I have only gained 18 lbs. and 8 of that is baby. How Crazy!
I am so excited that in just 5 to 8 weeks I will be home with my two babies. I don't care how crazy it will be and how much sleep I'm going to lose. I am so looking forward to hearing them cry and just having them to hold and kiss. I will finally have my little family that I've been wanting for so long and I feel so lucky to have found such wonderful doctors to make this experience a GOOD one.
My poor poor husband!
Billy went to the ranch this past week-end for what they call a "Work Week-End". Although I didn't hear about them doing any work...I did hear that they Bow Hunted Friday evening and Saturday morning. Billy called me Saturday morning after hunting complaining of a sore throat. He thought maybe he was getting strep throat. I told him if that's the case he may need to stay at the ranch or go stay with his parents because I didn't want him getting me sick. Then he called back that afternoon and said that his body was aching, he thought he was running fever, his head felt like it might explode and all the other flu symptoms you might get. So he was on his way to his parents house to get on their couch. I told him to just stay away from me and go to the doctor as soon as possible. He felt bad all Saturday, all Sunday and this morning. So he was finally able to go to the doctor today and sure enough...he has the flu. Maybe the swine flu...but since they treat the flu and the swine flu the same way...they didn't test him to see which one it was. They gave him a prescription for TamaFlu and sent him on his way. So my doctor said that I need him to stay away from me until all symptoms have been gone for at least 48 hours. He just texted me to tell me his temp is now 100.3, so it doesn't look like he'll get to come home until the end of the week. I know this is going to sound selfish...but how bored am I going to be this week? This sucks! It was bad enough being home alone all day by myself...but now...it is going to be all night too. Blah! :( I have to feed myself?! Oh well...I guess it could be worse. At least he got it now...before the babies are here. I told Suzy to make sure she disinfects everything of his before sending him home. So hopefully all the germs will stay over at The Freemans. :)

My Room Is Ready!
Not Going Crazy Anymore!
So this week-end has been great. Billy has been home most of the time helping me get things in order. Not sure if I've mentioned this or not...but the past few months I have NOT been thinking very clearly. Suzy actually brought it to my attention the other day after she washed some of the babies clothes and other items for me, that I will need a place to put all this stuff when the babies come home. For some reason...I was thinking I was going to get everything washed...but then keep them in the gift bags so it is all together when we move to our new house. Once we get there I was planning on getting it all out and organizing it. But wait...the babies are coming here first...to our house in town. OMG! I was like, I need to get all their stuff organized now. And when I thought now, I meant...NOW! So all last week I was in a panic and this week-end I got it all done! Billy and I organized everything. We cleaned out the spare bedroom and cleaned out the babies dresser and night stand that I've had forever...they were filled with all kinds of crap and tons of clothes. Luckily my aunt Jill is having a garage sale next week-end...so all the stuff that I need to get rid of...she is coming to get from me this week. Then I sorted out all of the stuff that doesn't belong to me and now I have a clean room. SO EXCITED! I can't beleive I got it all done. Well almost. I have about 2 or 3 more loads of baby stuff to wash and then I'll be ready for my babies. The last thing I needed to put together for everything to be complete was the changing table. So I asked Billy to get the changing table out of our storage unit. I thought it would be nice to set it up and get it organized as well. But as soon as he pulled the box out...I saw on the side of the box..."Kiddie Table and Two Chairs". I was like, "No! That's not a changing table"...Babies R' Us gave me something else. So I had Billy open the box to make sure it wasn't what I paid for and sure enough it was a table and chairs. Mom said she would exchange it for us on Monday since she is going into Houston. Yea...after I get that set up...I will be ready.
(I started this yesterday and now I'm finishing it today. Just have to say that I tried to wash all the baby stuff yesterday, BUT...my washer broke. Not really my washer...I have this plumbing problem that I won't go into detail about. But it happens about once every other year. Now I am going to call Tupa's Plumbing and I hope they can come out soon.)
Billy's Man Shower
Very Fortunately and sorta unfortunately Billy's Man Shower was success. The fortunate part is that we collected over 6200 diapers. That is wonderful and I can't wait to see how long that will last us. The unfortunate part is that Lance, Billy's brother, and Billy had a bet that if we collected over 5000 Billy would have to wear a Depends Men's Diaper for the remaining part of the shower and for a picture for the Leader News. Of course Billy had no problem doing this. If it were up to Billy he would walk around naked all the time. So sure enough he put on that Man Diaper around 2 o'clock and wore it all day. He shot skeet, rode a dirt bike, played craps, watched a football game and ate dinner in it and loved every minute. I heard he even used a few of them. If I can find a picture I'll post it. It was really funny to me just thinking about him doing all those activities in a diaper but seeing a picture made it a little bit more funny.
(I did find a picture but Billy has asked me not to post it on here. Huh? That was strange to me to hear...but I guess he did have good reason. He said that if I put it on a world wide website...it might be harder for him to run for President of the United States of America later on. :) Hehehhee! Although I couldn't help myself...I did forward a text of the picture to a few lucky people (or UNLUCKY people), so to those of you who got it, enjoy!)
Here are a few pictures of our diapers in our storage unit.
This is what Eugene and Dennis got us. It is so we can hand wash all the cloth diapers they got us. They even put a wash board in there for us to use along with the rope and clothes pens to hang out the diapers to dry. Apparently they don't know me very well...that is WAY TOO much work. But it's the thought that counts I guess.

I am going CRAZY!
I am now at the point where I am officially going crazy. I have so many things I want done around my house that I can't do and I can't stand it. Sooo...today I did some of them. I really wanted to clean my floors. So I swept and mopped them. I am washing my sheets and I can't wait to get into my fresh, clean bed tonight. I also am doing some laundry. I was almost out of towels. I'm not going to do the things that I really shouldn't do...but I sit in this house pretty much everyday...it really needed to be cleaned.
My doctors nurse called me today and told me that I failed my 1 hour glucose test I took on the 18th. So I get to go in on October 8th for the 3 hour test, AGAIN! This time I might see if someone can take me...last time I got pretty sick and didn't feel like driving all the way home...especially without eating in Houston first.
Our barndominium was on hold for a little bit due to weather conditions...but things are back on track now. Our barn should have walls by the end of this coming week-end. Then the fun part starts. Hope Kelly is ready! I'm sure he is.
That is about it for now. Other then going crazy...I am doing great and so are the babies. They are kicking none stop and making sure I know they are doing good. Makes me feel pretty good every time I feel one of them kick me. Reassures me that everything is okay with them and reminds me that I'm on bedrest for a very important reason. To make sure Molly and Joey stay in me long enough so that when they do come...they are far enough along and big enough to come home right away.

27 Weeks And 4 Days
I went to the doctor on Friday. I did a glucose test, met with my OB, got a shot of RhoGAM and another ultrasound on my cervix and then measured the babies. My meeting with my doctor went good. We have decided that I am on light bed rest. Meaning...no standing for more then 30 min. at a time, no shopping, no nothing...just taking it easy. No problem! I've been pretty tired these days anyways. My ultrasound on my cervix showed that my cervix has thinned more. A good, normal cervix at this time will measure at 3+". Last week mine measured in at 2.2" and this time it measured in at 1.7". I will be going back next Friday to see if it has gone down even more. If it measures at 1.5" or less...then they are going to give me two steroid shots. Those are to mature the babies lungs for breathing...if they were too come early. They are also going to do some kind of swab that will tell them all kinds of information but the main result they want out of the test is to know if I will deliver within the next two weeks. They don't think I will...but this is just a precaution. The babies weights are great. Joey weighs 2.9 lbs. and Molly weighs 2.8 lbs. The only picture I have recently is of Molly. But it's a 3D one and unless you have someone point out to you where she is...it's really hard to read. Joey has not been cooperating...he had his head buried really far down "there", so we can't see his face. We can barely get a good measurement on his head because of where he is. I don't know what it is about my boys...they are just so impatient and ready to meet all of us I guess. Hopefully he'll wait a few more weeks. My doctors would like to see me go at least 5 or 6 more weeks. So cross your fingers and say a little prayer for us. ;)
As far as our barndominium goes...well, we are a little behind schedule due to all the rain and no road. All of our concrete is finally poured and the barn has started to go up. In fact Billy has them working this week-end and any other time it is dry enough to get out there. Hopefully our electricity will be going up this coming week and the barn part should be completed. IF the weather cooperates. :)I know we won't be in our barn house before the babies come...but I would like to get into it before they start sleeping in a crib. I am not setting up a nursery in our house in town. Just not going to do it twice! I have a Pack N Play that they will be sleeping in for the first few weeks in our room. Then...they will need our barn house to be ready...so they can sleep in their own room.
This is Billy and a guy from GCLS building our pier. Yes...those sure are some big poles! Billy doesn't play around when it comes to doing things. Go BIG or Go HOME!
Still building the pier! And that is pretty much how it has been left. :)
Here is the slab with the poles for the lean-to's.
Our barn...almost all framed out
Billy and Halle...just getting off the maintainer. They were working on building us a road before the rain starts up again.

MFM Visit
Today I met with the other MFM (Maternal Fetal Medicine) doctor. They did another ultrasound and said everything looks good. The amniotic fluid is the same as it was 2weeks ago...and that is great. My cervix looks the same as last time also but he would like to see me on bedrest...not strickly bedrest...but some. He said that my cervix is holding the same amount of weight right now that someone carrying a singleton would be at 36 weeks pregnant. He said it is a lot of weight and getting to be too much for my cervix. The cerclage is doing great and holding strong. He wants to see me carry the babies for at least 8 more weeks if not 10. I am going to do my best to take it easy...but it's not that easy to do when Billy is out of state working during the week. But I do have plenty of people to do things for me around town if I really need them to. Just hate asking for help all the time. I go back next Friday for an OB appointment and then I need to figure how to get all my OB and MFM Ultrasound appointments in sync. That way I am only going in about every 3 to 4 weeks. The MFM doctors don't want me traveling more then neccessary and would only like to see me a few more times. After the appointment, Mom and I, went to eat at Gringo's in Richmond...mmmmm that was some GOOD mexican food. Think I have a new favorite place to eat. For a little while anyways! :))

Update From My Doctor
Last Friday I went to my clinic for an ultrasound. I had a little incident the previous week and went to the ER at St. Luke's Hospital in Sugar Land. It ended up being nothing... but my doctor wanted to double check and make sure everything was okay. So last Friday I met with the MFM (Maternal Fetal Medicine) doctor who looked over my ultrasound pictures. He didn't sound too concerned about anything just gave us a heads up on what was going on. Used a lot of medical terms that Billy and I didn't really understand. What we did understand was that I will be going in every other week from now on to check on my cervix. Apparently when pressure is applied to my stomach my cervix was looking really thin. And there is a little more amniotic fluid then normal in both the sacs. Joey has more then Molly... but since they both have more then usual he wasn't too concerned. My OB doctor called me first thing Monday morning to go over everything the MFM doctor had told us. She put everything in terms we could understand. Basically my cervix is thinning and the membrane is starting to push through from the baby side of the cervix. She told me I need to take it really easy and absolutely no lifting. The cerclage is doing it's job and stopping the membrane from pushing through and the cervix from dilating. She said they will also be watching the fluid in the sacs to make sure Joey doesn't have too much more the Molly and just to make sure it stays the same. For now I am just happy to not be on bed rest. I started my new progesterone last night and it seems to agree with me. Makes me really tired and sleepy... but that's perfectly fine with me.

Update On Pregesterone
My doctor called me back yesterday and said absolutely NO MORE Progesterone. She said that I was lucky to be at the clinic when it happened and happy my allergic reaction happened as quickly as it did. She said that the progesterone was just a precaution we were taking but is not necessary. Unfortunately there is no other alternative medication to put me on...so we are just going to hope that things stay the same and my pregnancy goes good the rest of the time without medicine. So far everything has been great...but of course this is going to be my worst week yet. I went into labor with Ty when I was 23 weeks and 3 days. Today I am 23 weeks exactly...so I think after this week I will be good to go. Just making it to this week has been crazy! I am taking it easy and getting more and more excited about what is ahead of us. :)

Our Barndominium Is Coming Along
Just a few pictures of how far along we are on the barndominium! Not very far...but it's coming along.
Yippy! We have our slab poured. This is just the barn area...next week they will come and pour the slab for our wrap-around-porch.
This is some granite boulders that Billy got to put somewhere.
This is Billy and Blake...getting some food together for our BBQ tonight.
